I’m putting a call out to everyone – friends, family and acquaintances. I’m asking that anyone who has a brooch they would like to pass on to me to have included in my wedding bouquet – please do so. I’ve been bouncing ideas of what I would like to do, and this one idea kept coming back to mind. Recently a friend of mine had her wedding and in it she did the same thing for her bouquet. She’s been more than generous in offering to show me how she wired hers together.

Our wedding colours are a plum/eggplant type purple, with silvers and blacks. Don’t let that stop you though;  any brooch of any colour will find it’s place in the bouquet.  I already have a couple cream & gold brooches as well. Anything that comes from someone I know and care about will be cherished. This call is open to friends and loved ones of John as well. It’s not just “my” wedding, it’s ours!

What I’m going to do, as I receive brooches is spend a little time thinking of who they came from and what that person means to me or John. Each brooch we receive from someone is going to be photograhed and added to a scrapbook telling the story of the bouquet. If a brooch you send has a history of any kind, a funny story, or even interesting origins that you would like to share please feel free to do so as that will become an important part of the scrapbook as well. As well from time to time I may post on here about the brooches we receive as well.
